Managing Uncertainty in Pharmaceutical Supply Chains: A Structured Review

In past decades, pharmaceutical supply chains (PSC) have become increasingly fragmented and complex making them more susceptible to chain (SC) risks. This has manifested in a growing number of drug shortages around the world which presents great challenge many national healthcare systems. PSC models provide crucial decision support can facilitate efforts avoid or manage such stockout situations effectively. this paper, we review scientific literature on quantitative considering uncertainty context shortages. We conduct systematic search obtain an overview current state research field. The identified papers are analyzed with regards pivotal modeling choices their characterization uncertainty.
